Beach of “El Palmar” | Vejer de la Frontera

Let’s get to know the beach of “El Palmar” …

The beach of “El Palmar” is an excellent beach of about 8 Kms long and an average width of about 50 meters. Its sand is fine, golden and its waters are very clean.

El Palmar de Vejer is a rural coastal town belonging to the municipality of Vejer de la Frontera, (Cádiz,Spain). It is located 11 km from the municipal center, along 8 km of Atlantic coast.

You can enjoy this beach not only in the summer months. It is also a good option in autumn or spring when it is not so crowded and you can surf more quietly and with higher quality waves. It is chosen by national and foreign tourists to spend a few weeks in search of its beauty and above all its tranquility.

This is ideal for children, as there are no ‘steps’ and it is shallow. Its waves are moderate, and when the easterly wind blows it is a little annoying, in this case we recommend to be located by Torre Nueva, next to the rocks.

It has surveillance and lifeguard services, by Torre Nueva, litter garbage cans, beach cleaning, showers, access walkways. It has several restaurants, bars, vendors and beach bars distributed along the entire length of the beach.

In conclusion, the beach of El Palmar belonging to Vejer de la Frontera is important to note that it is not the typical beach with hotel complexes and tourist apartment complexes.

We are talking about a beach surrounded by agricultural land, rural houses, orchards nature, with the advantage of having small local stores, but being close to towns and cities like Conil de la Frontera, Vejer de la Frontera, Barbate or Chiclana de la Frontera where you can access small and large surfaces.
