There are two hiking trails along well-known rivers in the Alcornocales Natural Park:
1.GUADALMESÍ RIVER
It begins ascending along a forest track, where some ravines allow us to enjoy magnificent views of the mountains, until we reach a bridge and the wonderful canyon of this river. We descend discovering the typical flora of the tropical zone, highlighting the numerous varieties of ferns. As we move away we can see the canuto and the Guadalmesí Tower.
- Vegetation: cork oaks, ojaranzo, common ferns, oleander.
- Fauna: birds of prey, rabbits
- Length / duration: 8 km / 2-3 hours
- Physical difficulty / technical difficulty: low
2. RIVER OF HONEY
We begin to ascend, while the vegetation gradually becomes denser, until we reach the first water mill, currently in operation. From here, we enter the canuto crossing a beautiful stone bridge, surrounded by lush vegetation, and later we will find a beautiful and refreshing waterfall, which fills with peace with the sound of water, the enclave. We will return by the same trail.
- Vegetation: cork oaks, alder trees, oleander, rhododendron
- Fauna: birds of prey
- Length / duration: 6 km (round trip) / 3-4 hours
- Physical difficulty / technical difficulty: low (recommended for families)
