There are two main hiking trails in the Estrecho Natural Park:
1.LOS ALGARBES-BETIJUELOS (TARIFA)
Trail with a very interesting starting point. A Bronze Age burial site, the Necropolis of the Algarbes. Where the road leads you to visualize different flora, fauna and soil. Eucalyptus trees, stone pines, rocky and sandy soil and spectacular views.
- Vegetation: quejigo, cork oak, fern, ojaranzo.
- Fauna: birds of prey, with the Griffon Vulture predominating.
- Panoramic: views of Bolonia, Sierra de Fates and panoramic views of the Strait of Gibraltar.
- Length / duration: 10 km / 4 hours.
- Physical / technical difficulty: medium.
2.COLADA DEL ESTRECHO AND CAMINO DE ALGECIRAS (TARIFA)
We depart from La Caleta in Tarifa. Bordering the coast as far as Algeciras, it is the northernmost trail in Europe. We will find numerous and diverse vegetation, which will bring us closer to the biodiversity of the marine and avian fauna of the area. We will enjoy the smell of the sea, and the breathtaking views of the Strait of Gibraltar and the neighboring continent of Africa.
- Coastal slope, geological formations, panoramic views of the strait.
