The El Cañuelo stream flows into the beach, which in times of high rainfall can form a small estuary.
The dune system formed is little deteriorated by human action, although the strong winds of the area and the tides cause a continuous movement of sand, which from time to time buries the plant communities present. Among the flora of the dunes, the barron and the sea grass stand out.
