Puntalejo Beach and Cove
The beach and cove of Puntalejo is one of the first of Conil de la Fron tera. This one is characterized by its semi-urban environment, constituted by a rocky cliff. A strip of Mediterranean scrubland, very fragmented, stretches over it, up to the different urbanizations that surround it.
It is subject to the action of the tides, presenting at low tide, in its bathing area, an extensive tidal plain with a rocky and sandy bottom. A bunker can be seen integrated into the rocky outcrop at its southern end.
The cliff has at its ends, large detached rocks, and marks of basal erosion. And in its inner zone, remains of marine fossils in the wall.
It is also interrupted in its continuity by the mouth of the stationary Arroyo del Quinto, whose channel is used as an access road.

The beach and cove of Puntalejo, is an ideal place to swim on days when the Levante blows. Since it is sheltered by its cliffs.
This small cove is used by users seeking the tranquility of its surroundings. Sometimes a stream flows into the beach dividing it into two parts.
At low tide, the entire seabed is covered by a rocky platform with small sandy areas and crystal clear waters. It contains a landscape of great geological beauty where cliff and rocky platform intertwine and protect the beach from the effect of the sea.
It lacks equipment and services, except for cleaning and waste removal.
At the top of the cove there are several parking areas, it is advisable to go by car from the village.
With a length of 180 meters and a maximum width of 18 meters. It is a beach of moderate waters so it is recommended for swimming and has a bunker of the twentieth century.
